How do I sign up at JoinHealthful.com?

You can join directly from our website! Just click the “Join Now” button on the home page.
The registration form will ask a few questions about your health priorities. We use this information to match you with health benchmarking opportunities that are relevant to your profile and your health concerns.

You can pay to upgrade your membership at any time to access more opportunities to get to better health, faster and premium rewards!

How often will JoinHealthful.com contact me?

We’ll contact you by email up to twice per day if you have available health benchmarking opportunities. We’ll also occasionally send you additional emails with news and other updates from JoinHealthful.com, no more than a few times a month.

How much money will I make for Benchmarking my Health(TM) and getting to better health, faster?

We are the only platform that is focused on getting you to better health through data you cannot find anywhere else. When you Benchmark your Health™ and take actions to get to better health, you’ll earn points (called Healthful Coins™ or HCs) that can be redeemed for your choice of gift cards.

If you were promised lots of money, this offer did not come from JoinHealthful.com and it’s not legitimate. As a member of JoinHealthful.com (and most other legitimate health insights companies) you will not earn big money by benchmarking your health, but you will earn rewards and your participation may help others get to better health, faster.

We will always deliver the rewards and prizes that we promise.

What if I no longer want to be a JoinHealthful.com member?

Your membership with JoinHealthful.com is always voluntary, and you can decide whether or not to Benchmark your Health(TM) any time you are invited to do so. If you would like to terminate your membership, email us at contact@joinhealthful.com.

How do I speak to JoinHealthful.com support directly?

Our Healthful Member Support™ team is available via email. If you can’t find the answer to your question in our FAQs, simply send us a message. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Whenever you reach out to the support team, a screenshot will be more than helpful. If possible, make sure to take a screenshot of the issue you’re reporting and send it via email as attachment to the address contact@joinhealthful.com.

Signing In & My Password
How and why do I sign in?

Sign in by clicking the Log In button at the top of the page at JoinHealthful.com. As a member, you need to be signed in to access your secured personal information, including your Points (called Healthful Coins™, HLTFL Coins™, or HCs) and Healthful Benchmarking Reports™. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

How do I change my password?

To change your password, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log in to JoinHealthful.com by using your email address and current password.
  2. From the main menu, navigate to your Profile page.
  3. Select “Edit Profile” and edit the password field.
  4. Follow the instructions on the page. You will receive an email to confirm the password change.

Note: Passwords are case sensitive. They must be at least 10 characters long and include 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 special character and 1 number. Special characters must be one of these: @$!%*#?&”‘()+,-.:;<=>[^_`{}~

What should I do if I forget my password?

Follow the Forgot Password link, located next to the Log In button at the top of the website. Follow the instructions to reset your password.

What should I do if my email address isn’t recognized when I try to sign in?

Be sure you’re using use the email address where you receive JoinHealthful.com invites to login.
If you recently changed your email address – and confirmed the change by clicking on the link we sent you at the new address – you can only login using the new confirmed email address. If you tried to change your email address but haven’t confirmed it yet, you’ll need to use the old email address to login.

What browsers are supported on the JoinHealthful.com site?

Currently, the JoinHealthful.com website and assessments can be used on desktop devices with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Safari. On your mobile device, our site is accessible with Safari, Android Webview, and Samsung Internet.

We suggest using the latest versions of these browsers to ensure you get the full experience of our site. In some cases other browsers or earlier versions of the browsers listed above may be supported, but if you encounter any technical issues preventing you from accessing the site or using the features, we recommend upgrading your browser version or switching to one of the suggested browsers.

What is a Healthful Coin™ (HC)?

Healthful Coins™ (sometimes called HCs or HLTFL Coins™ or sometimes referred to simply as “coins” or by our unique symbol: ) are what we call the points you earn to redeem for Healthful Rewards™! Though they are called “coins,” we cannot redeem them for money and they cannot be used to purchase items outside of JoinHealthful.com. They are not to be confused with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency!

How do I redeem my points (Healthful Coins™ / HCs)?

Once you’ve earned enough Healthful Coins™ to exchange for a reward, you can redeem them at any time by signing in to “Your Rewards” and clicking on Redeem Rewards. Here you’ll be able to browse the Rewards Catalog to see the available rewards and the amount of HCs needed. Select the reward you would like to redeem and follow the steps to place your order. Be sure to check the email address you used during the reward checkout process!

What can I redeem my Healthful Coins™ (HCs) for?

You can redeem your HCs for a variety of great rewards, including gift cards and charitable donations, such as to Healthful Stories, our sister nonprofit organization which promotes access to health education and empowerment. Browse our Rewards Catalog by clicking on “Your Rewards” from our menu.

How long will it take for my reward to be delivered?

Gift cards, prepaid cards are delivered instantly to the email address associated with your JoinHealthful.com account. PayPal Funds will be delivered via email within 3-4 weeks of ordering and require a valid PayPal account.

Can I change my order or exchange it for a different option after I've placed my order? Can I return an item?

HCs redeemed for instant delivery cards cannot be returned, refunded, exchanged or canceled. All gift cards are redeemed “as is.” Digital gift cards are treated the same as cash. Once a code is sent, it’s considered used. You assume responsibility for your gift card and Healthful Coins™. No refunds will be issued.

Where can I use eGift cards?

Many eGift Cards can be used in stores, online, or in mobile apps. Availability varies by reward. Read each individual reward’s description in the catalog for specific instructions.

How long is a digital gift card, virtual prepaid card valid?

The validity period of each type of digital gift card is established by the issuer/merchant and can vary from a few months to a few years. Exact details can be obtained from the issuer/merchant or may be mentioned to you in the redemption email containing the digital gift card.
Virtual Visa Prepaid Card must be registered within 90 days of issuance, once registered the prepaid card will expire in 6 months. To verify the issue date, see your JoinHealthful.com redemption confirmation email.

Do my Healthful Coins™ ever expire?

Your HCs don’t expire as long as you remain an active member of JoinHealthful.com.
If you terminate your membership, if your membership becomes inactive, or if you’re deactivated, your Healthful Coins™ account will be closed and any unused Healthful Coins™ will be forfeited.

How long do I have to wait to redeem rewards after I join?

Your Healthful Coins™ don’t expire as long as you remain an active member of JoinHealthful.com. Newly registered JoinHealthful.com members will need to wait 96 hours from their registration date before redeeming rewards. If you try to order any reward during this waiting period, you’ll receive an error message at checkout. Please note that, during this period, we will evaluate your survey answers and behaviors. According to JoinHealthful.com Terms and Conditions we are entitled to terminate a membership to JoinHealthful.com for any bad behavior, fraudulent use or behavior, or failure to abide by the terms and conditions, policies, or survey rules. In the event of termination, all Healthful Coins™ and any rewards held in “Pending” status will be forfeit.

How long do I have to wait to redeem rewards after I change my email address?

JoinHealthful.com members who request an email change will need to wait 48 hours from the date of change before redeeming rewards. If you try to order any reward during this waiting period, you’ll receive an error message at checkout. Please note that, during this period, we will evaluate your survey answers and behaviors. According to JoinHealthful.com Terms and Conditions we are entitled to terminate a membership to JoinHealthful.com for any bad behavior, fraudulent use or behavior, or failure to abide by the terms and conditions, policies, or survey rules. I want to redeem my Healthful Coins™ for a reward, but it doesn’t appear on the Rewards page anymore. What can I do?

When a reward is out of stock, it automatically disappears from the Rewards page. Don’t worry, we are working on making it available again. It shouldn’t take more than a few days. Make sure to check our Rewards page periodically.

I redeemed my Healthful Coins™ for a reward but haven’t received anything on my email. What can I do?

All rewards will be sent to the email address associated with your JoinHealthful.com account. If the reward is not in your inbox, please also check your Spam folder. If the reward is not in your Spam folder either, contact us. To make sure you always receive all our emails, add us to your Contacts list.

Can I trade my Healthful Coins™ for cash?

Unfortunately, Healthful Coins™ can only be redeemed for rewards within our system if they are credited to your account.

Assessments
How often will I receive health assessment invitations from JoinHealthful.com?

We’ll contact you by email up to once a day if you have available assessment(s). Most JoinHealthful.com members receive at least 1 assessment invitation every month. Based on profile information (such as gender, age, etc.), some members may receive more than this. It’s always your choice whether you take an assessment but the more assessments you take, the more Healthful Coins™ (HCs) you earn.

Does JoinHealthful.com have a mobile app?

We do not have an app at this time. You can log in at thrive.JoinHealthful.com/auth/login/ or register at thrive.JoinHealthful.com/auth/register-user/

How do I receive my points (Healthful Coins™ or HCs) or other rewards for taking an assessment?

When you take an assessment, our system counts the HCs you earned once you’ve fully completed the assessment. For most assessments, HCs will automatically be added to your HCs balance within a few minutes of assessment completion.

Why aren’t the HCs for an assessment I just completed showing in my account?

For most assessments, HCs will automatically be added to your HCs balance within a few minutes of assessment completion. However, there may be some instances when the HCs for a recently completed assessment don’t immediately appear in your HC balance. This could be due to the specifics of the study or occasional technical issues. In these cases, the HCs will be added later. It could even take a few days after survey completion to see the HCs in your HCs balance. JoinHealthful.com and Healthful Data, Inc. reserve the right to revoke HCs or suspend your account if our checks indicate that you have not answered questions truthfully or are committing any kind of deception or fraud to receive HCs.

  • If clicking on the link doesn’t work, copy and paste the link into your browser.
  • The link may be cut across two lines or more. If it is, you may have to copy and paste each line separately.
  • Try to access the assessment from a different device or in a different web browser. Please note that browser extensions, different security software or VPN solutions might block our assessment links or content of the assessment pages.
  • If you still cannot access the assessment, email us.
What should I do if I'm having some trouble or technical difficulties taking an assessment?

If you experience difficulty with any part of the assessment experience, use the Contact Us form and provide a brief explanation of the problem. Please include as much information as possible.
If you entered the assessment from your dashboard, please send us the name of the assessment in your JoinHealthful.com account. You can identify it by searching for the date when you completed it.

If you entered the assessment from an email invite, please include any other details that might help us identify the assessment, such as the date and hour when you completed it and the topic of the assessment.
If possible, please also include a screenshot of any error page displayed (if applicable) so we can further investigate the issue. We’ll look into the issue and get back to you as soon as possible.

Why can’t I re-enter an assessment after I exited it?

If you exit an assessment without fully completing it for any reason, you’ll be able to access it again after 10 minutes.

Why do some assessments end or kick me out early?

Many assessments are looking for specific characteristics that might or might not apply to you. Although it can be frustrating, ending a survey early ensures that we don’t waste your time.
Some assessments are also looking for a certain number of respondents from particular demographic groups. When an assessment ends early for you, that could mean that we already have the necessary amount of respondents from your demographic group.

How do I know how many assessments I’ve taken?

To check your account history, sign in and click on the “Your Rewards” link at the top of the dashboard page. Underneath “Your Account History” you’ll find all the information about the HCs you’ve earned and the assessments or actions you’ve taken.

Why do assessments I've already completed still appear on my dashboard?

There are times when the system may take longer than normal to change the status of an assessment shown on your dashboard. This could be due to traffic volume on our website or an issue related to a specific project.

Which device (desktop, mobile, etc.) should I use for taking assessments?

Our website is compatible with all devices, including computers, smart phones and tablets. Many of our surveys can be taken from either desktop or mobile devices.
Certain assessments might be required to be taken on desktop only or mobile only. If you’re having difficulty accessing an assessment from a certain device, try taking it on one of your other devices.

Can I unsubscribe from assessment invite emails?

Yes, if you no longer want to receive standard assessment invites, but wish to continue taking assessments with JoinHealthful.com, you can click the unsubscribe option found in the footer of our invites. You will still receive invitations to take part in specific research opportunities, when available.

How can I make sure that I’m receiving all the emails from JoinHealthful.com?

There are a few simple steps that you can take to make sure you’re not missing out on any research opportunities. Depending on your email service provider (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, etc.), you can add our email address to your Contacts or Safe Senders list or move our emails to your Primary Tab.

I have a Gmail account and I’m not receiving any emails from JoinHealthful.com. What can I do?

If you can’t find any emails from JoinHealthful.com in your Gmail Inbox, check the Promotions tab and Spam folder. To make sure you don’t miss out on any research opportunities, you can move all future emails from JoinHealthful.com to your Primary tab or add us to your contacts list. Here’s how to do it:

  • Open your Gmail account and go to your Inbox.
  • At the top of the page, you will see three tabs: Primary, Social and Promotions.
  • Click on Promotions then scroll until you find an email from JoinHealthful.com.
  • Simply drag and drop the email to the Primary tab.
  • A window will appear at the bottom of the page, asking if you want to do the same for all future messages. Click Yes.

Adding JoinHealthful.com to your Contacts lists:

  • On your computer, open your Gmail account and type JoinHealthful in the search bar.
  • Hover with your cursor over the Sender’s name (JoinHealthful) without clicking on it.
  • A small window will appear, with an Add to contacts icon on the top right corner. Click the Add to contacts icon.
Account & Profile
How do I change my contact information?

To change or update your account contact information, sign in and click on the Profile tab. Then, click “Your Secured Data” and make any updates. Be sure to click “Save” when you’re done to apply the changes.

How do I change my password?

Sign in using your email and current password. Click on the Profile tab and select “Your Secured Data”. Edit the field labeled “Password”, then click “Save”. You will be prompted to enter a one-time passcode for your security.

How do I change other personal information that I provided when I joined?

To change your information, sign in and click on the Profile tab. Click the “Your Secured Data” drawer to make your changes. If there is any information that you are unable to change on your own, please use the Contact Us form and provide a description of the changes.

Earning Points (called Healthful Coins or HCs™)
How do I earn points (Healthful Coins™ or HCs)?

Earn HCs by taking health assessments with JoinHealthful.com and completing other Healthful Actions™. The number of HCs you earn for each assessment will be indicated before you take the assessment and may depend on several factors, including assessment length. Your HCs will be added to your HC balance within a few minutes after you complete the survey, unless the survey instructions indicate otherwise. Be on the look out for additional ways to earn HCs, such as through sweepstakes or our refer a friend program.

How do I check how many Healthful Coins™ (HCs) I have?

After signing in, your current HC balance is displayed via the “Your Rewards” section of your account. You can view more detailed information about the HCs you’ve earned and any HCs you’ve spent on rewards by clicking on the HCs at the top of the “Your Rewards” page.

How often is my account updated with points (Healthful Coins™ or HCs) I've earned?

The HCs you earn are added to your account within a few minutes after you complete a health assessment, unless the instructions indicate otherwise. In some cases, like for Healthful Actions™ which we must verify, HCs may take up to a few days to be awarded.

What if I took a survey and the Healthful Coins™ (HCs) didn't show up in my account?

In some cases, there are surveys that are designed to take several days to finish, so the HCs might not be added to your account until the last day of the assessment. However, if your HCs don’t appear within a few days after taking an assessment, please email us.

How are the points (Healthful Coins™ or HCs) added to my account when finishing a survey?

We always try to match you with the best health assessments, and sometimes when you start one assessment, you are moved to another as part of the process of finding the right match. In this case, the number of HCs displayed at the end of your final assessment is the sum of HCs awarded for each assessment you have completed. The HCs will be added to your account balance, under separate assessments.

Why am I not receiving points (Healthful Coins™ or HCs) after updating My Profile?

Completing your profile helps us match you with relevant health assessments. You will not earn HCs by completing your profile but keeping it up to date will help you get invited to more surveys. The number of HCs you earn for each assessment will be indicated before you take the assessment.

What are my personal data rights?

When it comes to your personal data and information, at Healthful Data we entitle you to exercise the following rights:

  • Right of Access: Find out what kind of personal data is held about you and request a copy of this information.
  • Right of Rectification: Request that your personal data to be updated or corrected.
  • Right to Data Portability: Receive a copy of the personal data you have provided, so that you
  • Right to Restrict Use: Ask for your personal data to stop being used in certain cases, including if you believe that this personal information about you is incorrect or that the use is unlawful.
  • Right to Object: Object to the use of your personal data, if we process them on a legitimate interest basis.

Only in exceptional cases and with your prior explicit consent, would we provide any personal information to a client or another research partner.

You may remember that when you signed up for JoinHealthful.com, we sent you an email asking you to verify your choice to join, or double opt-in. This process demonstrates that we are meeting standard industry quality checks of permissions and consent.
You will also notice that all URLs of your assessments or website pages begins with ‘https://’. This is a sign that your assessment responses, rewards, points or Healthful Coin™ (HC) balance, and all other personal data are sent over a secure, SSL encrypted connection.

How will I know if there are ever any changes to the Privacy Policy or my personal data rights?

JoinHealthful.com and Healthful Data, Inc. follow a comprehensive Term & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cookies Policy.

As a member of the JoinHealthful.com online panel, you don’t need to worry about any new changes in the way we are sending or sharing information from or about you. We have set strict standards to protect your profile information and other personal data as part of our commitment to the security of your information.

If JoinHealthful.com or Healthful Data, Inc. sets new requirements or updates existing processes concerning your personal data consent as a member of our panel, you will receive a formal notice from us.

How is my personal information used?

Information such as age and gender are factors we use to select participants for our assessments. Without them, we are not able to ensure our results accurately reflect the demographic make-up of the country you live in. We will never share information that could be used to identify you with anyone outside of our company (including our clients) without your prior informed consent. Can you remind me to what I have consented to so far with JoinHealthful.com?

When you chose to sign up with JoinHealthful.com, you agreed that we may send you survey invites and other relevant notifications. You can always choose whether or not to participate in a market research survey to which you have been invited. We may also ask you to update your profile settings section or review new or updated policies. If JoinHealthful.com introduces new features, we may ask distinct permission from you for the products or services that imply using your personal data. You also always have the option to cancel your membership with JoinHealthful.com.

What about if I have children in my household?

Only individuals older than 13 may participate with JoinHealthful.com, and minors must have the consent of their parents or guardians. Healthful Data, Inc. does not take responsibility for any actions a minor might take as a result of engaging with JoinHealthful.com or any of the tools, systems, or resources we provide.

Are my assessment responses and other interactions with JoinHealthful.com anonymous and secure?

Personal data can be collected in two ways: (1) by expressly asking you for your personal details at registration or via health assessments and (2) by configuring options to automatically collect certain personal data with the help of required, functional or optional cookies. We make every effort to ensure that any collected personal data is kept secure and that we collect only the personal data that is required and has been stated explicitly and transparently in our Privacy Policy.
Additionally, we do our best to make your experience with the JoinHealthful.com community, assessments, and app enjoyable and gratifying by aiming to collect data in the most unobtrusive manner possible.

You will also notice that we never publish any member’s full name or location in our public engagement communications or on social media platforms without express written consent. Please also never share any of your personally identifying information on our social media pages.

Keeping your data secure also requires that you maintain the security of your account by using sufficiently complicated passwords and storing them safely. You should also ensure that you have sufficient security on your own systems.

When it comes to the internet, we understand that there are many things that can be worrisome. Here at JoinHealthful.com, we’re open about what we do, what we don’t do, and when we make mistakes. Here are some common questions and concerns that we’ve received from members.

Why do I always screen out of or not qualify for health assessments?

Many health assessments are looking for specific characteristics that might or might not apply to you. Screening out of or not qualifying during the early stages of a survey ensures that we don’t waste your time taking the entire assessment.
Some assessments are also looking for a certain number of respondents from particular demographic groups. When an assessment opportunity ends early for you, that could mean that we already have the necessary number of respondents from your demographic group.

I never got the reward I ordered. What's going on?

Although most of our virtual rewards are delivered within 48 hours, in some cases delivery could take longer. PayPal Funds may take up to 3-4 weeks to be received. If you’ve waited longer since the time of order, please contact us so that we can look further into the issue.

I was promised a pay-out or reward for joining, but I never received it. What happened?

Some members who joined JoinHealthful.com may have been referred to us from a third-party site that promised a pay-out for signing up with JoinHealthful.com. Those pay-outs are the responsibility of the referring company. JoinHealthful.com does not offer payments just for joining. For upgraded access (Voyager or Rewards), we will charge your credit card via our payments processor, Stripe.
